Desarrollo del motor completamente nuevo para el Patrol
Developed to meet the demands of drivers seeking the ultimate in power and performance, this all-new engine produces 425 hp and 700 Nm of torque, representing a 7 percent increase in power, 25 percent more torque, and a 24 percent improvement in fuel efficiency compared to the previous V8 model. Utilizing aircraft-grade materials and first-in-class technologies, the Nissan Patrol ensures sustained performance in extreme driving conditions, thanks to its improved engine performance in terms of air and fuel flow, which also contributes to a reduced environmental footprint.
To enhance the driving experience on board the all-new Nissan Patrol, Nissan engineers drew on decades of experience and paid meticulous attention to every detail of the engine and component development process. The twin-turbocharger wheels are made from Mar-M, a hard nickel-based alloy commonly used in the aerospace industry. This high-strength alloy enables the turbochargers to withstand high temperatures, ensuring consistent and sustained performance in the most extreme driving conditions.
“The all-new Nissan Patrol builds on a rich legacy of innovation, engineering, and mechanical expertise to deliver a more powerful, capable, and efficient seventh generation than its predecessors,” said Thierry Sabbagh, Divisional Vice President and Head of Nissan & Infiniti in Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, and CIS. “Thanks to this rich heritage and accumulated professional expertise in the field of automotive manufacturing, Nissan has succeeded in building a multi-purpose sports car that not only meets the demands of our region’s drivers but also sets a new standard for the performance of this category of vehicles in the Middle East.”
Designed to deliver superior performance on the region’s challenging terrain, the all-new seventh-generation Nissan Patrol is the only SUV in its class to feature a Scavenger oil recovery pump, which boosts oil flow to all moving parts to overcome centrifugal force as they rotate at high speeds. The GT-R was the first Nissan to feature this pump, ensuring maximum performance during the most demanding off-road maneuvers. The Scavenger pump has been modified to suit the Patrol’s engine power and helps it climb the region’s towering sand dunes.
As part of Nissan’s commitment to delivering superior performance while reducing its environmental footprint, the all-new Nissan Patrol also features enhanced air and fuel flow, with increased fuel pressure (up to 35 MPa compared to 15 MPa in the previous V8) and longer piston strokes (100.2 mm compared to 92 mm). A new electric intake valve timing system further improves throttle response and the overall feeling of superior performance while driving.
The Nissan Patrol’s twin-turbocharged V6 engine is mated to a new nine-speed automatic transmission that gives drivers greater control with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. Drivers can further customize their experience by choosing from six distinct drive modes: Standard, Sand, Rock, Mud, Eco, and Sport.
The all-new Nissan Patrol completes its capabilities with the introduction of the first-ever four-wheel drive transmission in a Nissan vehicle. This system automatically selects the optimal driving mode from six available options, ensuring the driver is able to overcome difficult terrain with ease.
Nissan engineers have ensured that the all-new Patrol delivers the ultimate performance on all terrains, from the highway to the towering, challenging sand dunes. Available at Nissan’s partner network in the UAE, KSA, and the Middle East, the all-new Patrol is available with two engine options, including a 3.5-litre V6 twin-turbocharged engine and a 3.8-litre V6 naturally aspirated engine.
