Lexus has launched the eagerly awaited 2025 LX Hybrid, officially designated as the Lexus LX 700h, starting at a price of $115,350. This new model features a range of chassis enhancements specifically tailored for the hybrid powertrain, improving both handling and stability. The 2025 lineup also introduces a more powerful Overtrail trim.
In October, Lexus revealed the hybrid powertrain for the 2025 LX, marking the introduction of electrification in the brand's largest SUV. The base Overtrail hybrid variant is set to debut in early 2025, with a starting price of $115,350 (SAR 432,562), which includes a destination fee of $1,350 (SAR 5,062).
Spécifications mécaniques
Le Lexus LX 700h est équipé d'un moteur V6 biturbo de 3,4 litres associé à un moteur électrique intégré dans sa transmission automatique à 10 vitesses. Ce véhicule transmet sa puissance aux quatre roues grâce à un système de traction intégrale avec une boîte de transfert à deux vitesses. Contrairement à la plupart des hybrides Lexus, ce modèle comprend un moteur de démarrage conventionnel et un générateur pour garantir son fonctionnement même en cas de problèmes avec le système hybride, un élément essentiel pour la fiabilité en tout-terrain.
Partageant sa chaîne de traction avec le Toyota Tundra et le Sequoia, le LX 700h génère une puissance légèrement supérieure, offrant 457 chevaux et 590 Nm de couple, contre 437 chevaux pour ses homologues Toyota. Les trois modèles sont construits sur la plateforme GA-F à châssis séparé.
2025 LX Updates
The new hybrid model is making waves, but the existing LX lineup still features the LX 600, which was launched in 2022. This model is equipped with a 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that delivers 409 horsepower and has received extensive performance reviews.
The 2025 LX also introduces a new Overtrail trim, inspired by a similar version in the smaller Lexus GX. The LX Overtrail is designed for off-road adventures, boasting features like front and rear differential locks, 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, and unique design touches such as gloss black exterior accents. Optional enhancements include Desert Moon exterior paint and a Monolith interior theme.
Modifications have been implemented to enhance the hybrid system, leading to increased overall stiffness and enhanced steering feedback. Strengthened engine mounts have also been installed to support the additional weight of the hybrid parts, which aids in improved handling and stability.
